We begin by getting to know each other with exploratory meetings to define project goals, brand positioning, and seasonal objectives in order to establish a clear creative direction from the start.

At this stage we will also discuss costing and budgeting, importing and marketing & sales strategy as well as sales channel planning.

I conduct trend and competitor research, attend key trade shows for forecasting insights, and source fabrics, trims, and manufacturing partners aligned with the brand’s technical and aesthetic needs.

I work together with the team or with client feedback to develop a strong seasonal theme, color palette, silhouette direction, and technical parameters creating a cohesive overall vision and North Star for the collection.

I design in stages to ensure my clients approval throughout the process.

Initially I start the collection with detailed silhouette intent, fabric and trim selections, initial color-ups, technology intention.

Then once approved I move onto technical specifications packages which include detailed construction methods, first proto measurements, and logo/graphics designs & integration.

Presentation and approval meetings ensure alignment before moving forward.

Throughout the prototyping process and via fittings, I provide detailed proto comments and guide fit approvals.

I refine each style until we reach PP sample working closely with our manufacturing partners to protect the original creative intent and ensure technical excellence.
